On a very last minute note, (due to forseen fucked up circumstances), I found myself rushing to meet Anthony (back from Australia for the holidays), Clement and JinXiong, all whom I've not seen for donkey ages .

While walking about Suntec, we realised that most of the area has changed! There was this extension cluster of shops like the Edge (formerly at Bugis) and Annex at the Heeren. Tons of cool stuff to check out, like the anime/cosplay shops, and the first ever affordable bikini shop I've ever stepped in.

Clement and his dancing cactus!

The Odd pair :)

Clement trying hard not to notice the total retard next to him.

Madness in motion~

"Huston, we have lift off. The hugest ASS ever."

Thats all,folks!

Finally caught the long awaited AVP 2(to ye nerds, its Alien versus Predator).

It was a tremendous let-down from what I had expected from its prequel. In the the 1st movie, not only did it shed some light on the co-relation between the 2 species but also the intense close-ups of the action (the jumping of the alien baby spawns were coolness!) and awesome CG effects did great for all its AVP hardcore fans and general audience.

HOWEVER, in the sequel...it was anything but. Filming was no where as spectacular, what with the overly dark footages which no human eye could possibly catch anything except silhouettes.
It was mindless killing on top of more mindless killing, and boy was Predator one hard worker.

What haven't we already seen that was not featured in the previous films?
And don't even get me started on the ending, which was pure, unadulterated crap. The Strause Brothers who directed should really go shoot the writers or something, then shoot themselves for accepting to direct it.

I reckon it went something like this...

Strause Bros: The movie must finish it on a spectacular note ok. We want it to end with a BANG !
Dimwit writer: doh! No problem, you want bang then we'll give you BANG!

....And hence, the bloody movie was literally with a single nuke bomb. -_-

I also have one very burning question...

WHY IN THE HELL WOULD PREDATOR SPECIES SEND ONLY 1 OF ITS KIND IF THEY KNEW THEY WERE UP AGAINST A FORMIDABLE HYBRID??!

Go figure. (-_-")

Goodness, I am an insufferable lazy asshole. Been meaning to blog load the pics from my MTV shoot for ages but I never did get around ACTUALLY doing it.
Hurrah for new level of enlightenment in the art that is procrastination.

Anybody interested in checking out some of the action; its on Janice's blog. :)

Ok that aside, my new phone is the LOVE.
it was on promotion at Singtel, and Thank Heavens my contract had expired just in time for a new upgrade. Its about 68 bucks, but i traded in my old model and paid only 33 for it. A steal!
I've always lusted for a cybershot phone since god knows i've been instilled with the camwhore genes since popping out from my momma's womb.

check out my baby:

(PS: Mine's the one in the frosted silver!)

Of course, without much further ado...I start going all trigger-happy!
First up was my grand-aunt Ann's birthday, which was held in some pish posh Oriental restaurant at the Novotel,Clark Quay.

Moi, my Ku-Po Ann/birthday girl and my Dad.

Gorgeously large cake with the chinese character for Longevity written across

Mind you, frail as she looks... my grand-aunt is a whooping 82 years old!

Hahah, and let the photo-snapping marathon begin!
This is cousin Judith, whom i reckon looks the most alike to me when i was younger.
Can you see the similarity?

Cousin Gloria

Oldest cousin on my dad's side, Tiffany :)

And her brother, Jonathan. (good lord I look like him so much its freaky!)

It was a pretty nice brief lunch affair, but which I enjoyed quite a bit as we do not get to meet up with one another these days. And yes, the food was yummy too; tho I was sorely disappointed for not being able to grab the prawn dumplings faster than i should have.

~~~
After, Mom and I trooped down to Central, which was a stone throw's away to do some shopping for a company event of hers. Unfortch, nothing was suitable so we decided to hop over to Parkway Parade instead.
Below is how I successfully cajoled her into my cam whore tendencies. WAAHHHAAA!
Shades buddies!
Went to grab a bite at the market/hawker centre near by, when I spotted him:
This old uncle was performing an amusing but earnest performance of juggling 2 balls whilst blowing the harmonica. For 67 years of age, him being so limber and friendly definitely deserves a worthy mention.
Oh yes, he also told me that he does not perform on Mondays as the market isn't open. LOL!
"bloody vainpot la!" yelled mom.
Yups...this one garnered quite a number of stares.
This is probably my most fave pic of Momma and I. ;)
Biting into a big juicy red bauble!
Its a somewhat glorious saturday evening, it passing by a whole lot faster than I would have like it to, but what the heck.
I'm sitting on my bed, garbed in only my boyfriend's tatty grey oversized shirt, snug as a door mouse but more temperamental than whistling kettle.
All credits go to the wonder of the S.A.F that just HAD to call him back for last minute guard duty. -_-
Never mind, all in the name of testing one's endurance.
So people have noticed the new designation I updated on my friendster profile (which, let me digress, is not nearly half as fun as Facebook); casting director for a particular film company.
My very first assignment was to die for; a campaign to raise awareness for Human Trafficking around the world, broadcasted on MTV cable tv.
Do check out its very own website, filled with top of the art photography and cool downloads, but more importantly, filled with shocking and vital facts about the harsh reality of human trafficking, which subsequently filters down to prostituion, forced labor and domestic labour.
It may come as a surprise to many that Human Trafficking is the the second most lucrative business next to drug trafficking.
Find out how you can make a difference @ www.mtvexit.org. :)
KNNCCB.
My bank statement just came in today, and I so nearly had a coronary after reading it.
People who had borrowed from me, please have the moral decency to AT LEAST call and tell me if you have difficulties returning; don't act like you disappeared from the face of the earth.
That's really fucked up behavior and altogether very impolite.
I loaned J (lets just call her that) about 30 bucks about a month ago, and after countless attempts to contact her, she just does not reply.
Back then in secondary school, the same thing ever happened, and it took her 6 freaking months to return the 20 bucks she borrowed.
And the best part? She always had new stuff like comic books and stationary stuff whenever I met her. Talk about being THICK-SKIN and SELF-CENTERED!!!!
I think money is really something that can turn relationships, especially friendships sour.
As a currently jobless entity, pockets are tight and I'd appreciate the ones I regard as friends to have a conscience and spare a thought for me.
This has been a very crude and blunt entry, and it may be a lil on the offensive side; but perhaps some you may be able to empathize with me on similar past experiences. At least I finally let off some steam on this situation that has been eating me, and perhaps we can all learn something here.
~~~

Urgh.

Ok I cannot figure out how to mass upload my pics from my new Flickr account.
So unless someone can help enlighten me.. its gonna be a long period of of barren picture-less entries.

Blogger, feel my wrath!

Ok heads up. Much awaited Halloween post is here.

Pardon the lack of enthusiasm in this post as I am dead tired after scrutinizing half of Best Denki for a new television. My ancient television has just about outlived its usefulness, and it is about time we looked for its replacement to pass on the proverbial 'baton'. Haha.

Here we are with ambiguous Madam Sherry Ong the pilot and moi. Actually she was aiming for the sexy policewoman outlook, but the huge star on her hat looked for like the former, so yeah. Anyhow all that matters was the sexy, yea?

And yes, please ignore the fact that I look like I'm groping her, cos it was seriously a case of BAD TIMING.

Guys, heads outta the gutter please, LOL.

It was a Halloween miracle!!!

Sherry managed to talk the usually meek Han Hui into joining us for the night. I don't think you can tell, but she is supposed to be a gangster girl.
(She's tooooo sweet to be one la!)

Shameless cam-whoring outside the club.
On hindsight, I really cannot project that sexy vibe that I was supposed to be embodying for the night.

I dig his weave!
Afros are hoooot....at least until I caught sight of this other afro guy with glowing fairy lights embedded in. That dude certainly took the cake, and I wished we had taken his picture too.

Dead Japanese school girls... they remind me of my fave PS game, Fatal Frame.
Especially the one on my left, she just glares glassily at the camera; totally freaked me and Sherry out.

In front of us, this Geisha (with a kimono decidedly nicer than the one I wore last year, hmph). Her friend, whom I henceforth dub as the Undead-Cheongsam-Lady.

Bring sexy back. LOL

Pout Silly!

Flying kisses to mark the end of yet another year of Halloween madcap :)

Just back from Zouk's Halloween Party: Lair of the Damned.

My feet are indescribably numb from all that dancing; my ears are half-deaf from all that pounding music and yelling, and my back is aching from jiving just a lil too much.

But I had yet another exhilarating blast with my girls. Zouk never fails to give the best and most outrageous parties for Halloween, I dun ever think that MOS nor St James Power House(or was it Power Station?) can compare.

'Plus... I looked HOOOT (if i may say so myself, winkwink). I went a Moulin Rouge cabaret girl.

Pics to come soon! Peace out!

Yes Yes and yes!

It is finally here, the much hyped, much awaited movie, 'Factory Girl'!
Had watched the trailer about 2 months ago, and while I do not like sienna miller all that much, the late Andy Warhol (who had probably single handedly brought about the pop art revolution) and iconic (albeit tragic ) socialite Edie Sedgwick had caused waves in the entertainment scene during the late 60s.

A match made in glam heaven or just a disaster waiting to happen?

Go catch the show guys, I'm not even going to spoil the synopsis for you. ^^

~~~
I'm needing a job now, but....so bloody sian to work. To cut a long story short, persistent job agents are running my temper short. Can you believe that they had the nerve to call me at 8 plus in the morning?!
Not only that, they kinda told me to my face, that I'm kinda at a disadvantage when looking for jobs because my diploma is from a private University, MDIS. All I can say is:
WTF.
Honestly, how does a diploma in a non-government discipline make me any different from others?
I mean, think about it. Annabelle Chong came from a recognized University, and look how she turned out. And not too long back, we have heard glorious tales of normal academic and normal technical students scoring straight As for their cambridge O's, splashed over the front pages of local papers.
If that isn't the purest example of 'it-isn't-the-goddamn-school-that-maketh-the-student', then I dunno what is. -_-
