I really like this new skin.
Its anti-teenybopper, with just the rite touch of childlike innocence and to a comfortable minimal. THANK GOD for that. Prolly means I'll be staying with this one for quite some time. hee

Have u guys watched the film 300 yet?

Trust me, I've learnt not to judge from thy seemingly testosterone-charged movie poster and trailer. My man begged me to watch it together, and under some reluctance I gave in. The fact that it was a treat prolly had something to do too :P

It was fabulousssss. Loin-stirring Gerard Butler reprises the leading role (I drooled majorly during Dracula 2000) on the silver screen once more as King Leonidus; fearless/hunky he-man leader to his equally hot brethen of 300. While it was pretty much what I expected: fighting, tons of gore, sex... did I mention fighting? It earned a reprieve in its star cast and the well-developed message behind the epic: Death before glory.

Other worthy mentions are the rich trove of Greek history, as the show begins with the introduction of a Spartan boy's coming-of-age rite. Its brutal, blunt and very in your face.
Unlike many of its predecessors, 300 is an a new vein. Set in a dreamscape film style, its more 'soap opera meets greek tragedy' with a very modern twist. Watch when the men march forward in tune of a heavy rock song!

Loved it. While I've always been one for gore, horror and fighting shows, this one particularly stood out for me. I guess its also becos of the well-timed humor in midst of a macabre battle. Dry and sardonic. Just the way I like it. *smiles*
