Cut to the chase.

My bro, Carly Fries finally turned 21!
*cue 'Freedom song'

I know this is a few weeks back, but I blame it on the recent onslaught of work and events. A social butterfly's job is never done hahah. His party was simpler but nicer than mie la. Got birthday balloons somemore, so cute!

All my love, bro!

Just getting the party warmed up..

heheh.

The secondary school kakkis reunite!

My boyfriend feeling frisky after not seeing his old buddy for ages.

Anyways, the highlight of the party was trying to assemble his 'present' from the guys.
Presenting...OPERATION SEXDOLL!

While the birthday boy was busy with entertaining his guest, the few of us set off (not so discreetly) to accomplish our mission, to bring 'Nicole' as I dubbed her (inspired by Nicole Sherzinger from Pussycat Dolls) to life. There was soooooo much obstacles I tell you!

First, the air pump that came with it was not working. And lemme hust tell you that blowing a life size adult toy by oneself is tantamount to suicide ok. Let the pictures below demonstrate:

She looked NOTHING like the packaging I tell you.
So here is a warning for all you hum sup lous out there, the real thing is always better :P

JiaHan: Wait, let me find the hole.
Yong Kang: Which one? She has 3!!!!
JiaHan: Aiya, the pump not working.
Yong Kang: No worries, I have.... the 'Wonder-Straw'!!
*Pulls straw out of nowhere*

We proceed to stare in awe as he....

Begans blowing Nicole with all his might!

Let us remember today, where our 2 brothers sacrificed their energy, effort, and possibly virility as well, to inflate Nicole for our dear Carly.

Finally the pump is working!

Exhausted from all that ahem... 'exhaling', our 2 heros took a breather (hahha pun intender) and we took over the task of dressing Nicole.
Which was not an easy task, especially when you have a inquisitive boyfriend who like to poke and prod as and when I wasn't looking. *EVIL GLARE*

Justin tests out Nicole's flexibility

Untangling Nicole's clothes...

Its getting messy...

This is getting no where!

Courtesy of Justin's sabo. Carl looks like he fell face first into a shit pile :X

Yum! Anyone care to have a taste :PP

Weighing Carly if he gained pounds from all that chocolate cake

Turning 21 with love, laughs and sabos~

Carly fries, Im really sorry I could not send you off for your Taiwan trip. Don;t cry over me too much at night and beware of those Taiwan girls from molesting you hor.

Will miss you terribly, take care and god bless ya! Call or msn me soon! Hugs and kisses!

PS: 2 videos to be uploaded. If only I can get goddamm blogger to work WITH ME.

I actually don't understand what the hype about Valentine's Day is all about; except for the fact that retailers use it as an excuse to charge double/triple the price for flowers/chocolates/meals. I don't quite see the point for a one single day for significant others to fiiiiiiiiinally make a pointed effort to show their love for another.

If one is truly in love...then everyday is like V-day to them:)

BUT then, who am I to complain :) I had a great V-day myself. It started off rocky when I nearly chewed le BF's head off because he was late, but it quickly evaporated when he pulled out the prettiest bouquet of flowers (which was exactly the reason for his lateness).

We wanted to do Sushi Tei, but decided on Swensens instead cos the former was too far. I had a 49ers Sourdough beef set and he had a BBQ chicken course. First time trying Sourdough and Im glad to say it wasn't half bad.

Excited!

Awww moment.

Pretty eh?

After we had a quick jaunt to Sculpture Square where yes, there was YET another flea market going on, but this time I couldn't find anything decent to buy. Sad, but still afloat by the infectious Valentine vibe everywhere. A decent hour and a half of LAN gaming later, we walked down to town to see the sights...

.... and got snapped by photographers of CLUBSNAP community! hahhah. I grabbed Justin but he was too stoned(stunned???) to react. For that fleeting moment, I had the full on paparazzi treatment and sure as hell enjoyed it. lol

The CLUBSNAP paparazzi team

Cool band belting out a Coldplay number

Hhahah i look terrible, and got posted on the forum!!

As we popped by Cineleisure for a bit, we immediately spotted this guy who was holding a 'Free Hug' sign by his lonesome self. Aww...come on people, ain't V-day the festival of love? I gave him a brief hug and looked at Justin questioningly. He kept going about it being tooo gay and stuff until i gave him the classic:
'Honey, if you truly love me...you would do it for me?'

Whahahahaa. Evil June. But he did it in the end and even snickered abit after. I wish I took a pic but he moved off to fast. He says that he may try the same thing next year, but sans a shirt.
I gave him the evil eye.

We finally settled at Taka, and there was some craaaaaaaaazy clearance sale at the basement atrium, and I got some great accessories from Island Shop which would usually cost an arm and leg. Le BF has also kindly sponsored a cool cocktail ring from Forever 21 (thanks-muacks).

All 3 for $16! Except for the ring.

Exhausted but happy

Irresistible.

Not forgetting the quintessential outfit posts!

On a personal level, i abhor brainless couple dressing. Its retarded and people don't find it cute; they prolly pity you for having such poor taste. Yet, I wanted to try couple dressing in the 3 years we have been together, but with style. I roped in the Boy for an impromptu photoshoot which he did with great finesse.

Theme was black, white and PURPLE, with checks. Someone has been watching too much Gossip Girl episodes...

WITHDRAWAL.
(Caution: mega long shopping rant post)

helloo.....june is on withdrawal mode at the moment. With the dark mood that the recession has called forth, retail therapy is nearly non-existent, or at very best, minimal. Oh well, we do what we can :)

Yay, my gloooooooorious boots have arrived safely from the wonderful land that brought us kimchi and great soap operas. Behold sweetness.

With Flash

I am proud to report that not only does it look rugged-sexy (just the way I like it) but it is crazy comfortable with its buttery leather texture. It is lighter than I expected too, which helps when you are chasing after the company bus in the morning!

and because its been such a success...emboldened, i spy my little eye on another korean spree for skirts next:
I can't decide which colour i like best. the mint/blue combo would be easier to carry off but its really the yellow/black one that stands out. Kinda like a magician no?

Flea @ Sculpture Square: 17 Jan 2009

So far the best flea I've been too, tons of epic buys hiding behind the racks just waiting to be found.
As usual, I was not disappointed, I scored a lace Mango top and a wheat color knit throw-over. :)

This guy is a regular feature at the junction just after the Kwan Yin Temple in Bugis. He does tarot card readings for 10 bucks, and you'd be surprised at the crowds of people that flock to him.

Old uncle here giving a live demonstration of how he makes medicated balm of his own recipe. Here he is rubbing some on his eye area to show that it is safe for usage.
I was a little skeptical, but saw numerous newspaper articles and certs about his product prove otherwise.
As this was before CNY, one of many flower stalls that popped along the Waterloo Street walkway. Pretty ~
