Long week, but glad its a Sunday and Im gonna catch up as much sleep as possible.
Ironic how I got a job that requires me to be the first one in the office when I'm usually a dead sleeper here at home. =.=
Anyhow, in other news...Becks (David Beckham) has a cute albeit stalkerish fan.
According to a tabloid website I frequent, he took off his shirt as a present for Becks, and then tried to remove his pants too..infront of the 4 thousand- strong spectators!

I just hope he's not gay cos that would be such a terrible waste.

I dug up some old pics we took late last year, but never really got around to uploading it.
Watch Justin and his 'siao' antics at the nearby playground.

Owning the giraffe!

That's an elephant if you're wondering.
He was trying to scale it to the top and sit on it like a Sultan...but failed miserably! HAHA

Karma bites YOU in the ass.
Or rather, Mr Croc got pretty hungry. *evil snigger* Byebye boyfriend~~

Random shots from Tess's bbq and our trip to Beach Rd.

My man and I were trying to find our way to the pit, when we saw these amateur fishers pulling up their net from the walkover. While they didn't quite manage to get what they wanted, i got an amazing shot of their catch.

My man caught one with his bare hands!! LOL nah jus joking.

I didn't quite trust the degree of cooking by the guys so I tried doing it myself...
Here's my masterpiece. A chicken Sawarstika!!

A shot of the MRT directory map earlier. which wasnt that helpful -.-

Kinda gross i know, but i think its sweet. Spot the heart motif in the middle?

I cannot believe the guy actually went for second round after his hearty meal. *rolls eyes*

Sight for sore eyes....and great way to end my day!

WARNING: HUGE SHITLOADS of PICS COMING SOON!

OMG la.
On a temporary lease of insanity, I help my mom make her own blog. While it would be most interesting to observe her jot down her inner thoughts, she has also sweetly informed me that she'd be bitching about me stuff time to time too. So no way in hell am I giving out the address.

Thanks mom. You've rrreeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaalllllllly made my day. (=_=)"

I J'ADORE my mom's phone; apparently according to my sis (aka IT whiz), has a detachable memory card that can upload pics into my com.
Which I of course did, after painstakingly infra-transfering one by one for a good half hour.

PLUS...my new Painter program is the SHIT!!
Am so addicted to giving myself 'virtual plastic surgery' as I'd like to call it, and on to the likes of my mom, sis and boyfren. I think I look better with a sharper nose tho I sure as hell ain't daring enough to try it in real life.
Ah well~~~

EXCITED but so lazy to do it now. Alamak!

We came, we saw, and I bought more than I should have, thanks to my good ol' impulse buying habit.

There is this really cool, far hidden shop at Beach Road area that has pretty nice stuff.
Pity I forgot the name tho. It has everything from Tee shirt staples with designs rivaling Flesh Imp but only going at 8 bucks a piece, only $20 if you get 3. Also has vintage bags, accessories and bottoms. Bought a green tee but really had my eyes on this halter-vest for 26 bucks.
While the place itself is hellish cos its humid beyond human tolerance, suck it up cos I think its worth it. :P

Plus..surprise surprise!!!

Sheer coincidence, my man and I bumped into my good friend Grace just few seconds after talking about her. I did a piece on her store when I first visited, remember? well, heres a refresher.
Grace has since moved from her former store Nitty Gritty at Icon to Bali Lane. She actually converted an upper shop house akin to an attic full of colors and vivaciousness treasures. The feel is homey and eclectic; get anything from whimsical tailored pants to lacy dresses and preppy tees.

The highlights of course; are her handmade signature fabric totes and accessories that she painstakingly put together. Can't find anything you really want? No fear; Grace does customizing requests! Individuality was never this fun and creative. :D

But Ok watever. Blogger always glitches at just the perfect time, and I'm sure most of you are nodding your heads in agreement. My insomnia bout has struck yet again, and so here I am homies. //

Whee I got an interview today from Great Eastern which I dun even remember applying, but it wasn't very much different from my previous job so I guess I won't be taking it. Had pestered so many peeps for advice and even Trish from Aus -:P
Btw luv, congrats on your new job. Now you can spend more time with me and Shan! Cyber parties are da bomb!

Im wishing that the Job Fairy pays me a visit soon cos the lack of spending power is killing me!!! But i'm getting a lil more positive cos I just came up with an idea to speed up my responses and maximise chances. Ppl wish me luck ks?

Oh and on a totally random note; im thinking of changing my look. Does anyone notice its getting very humid these days? Long hair equates to scalp suicide.
Think I should do a modern bob a la Anna Wintour or leave it long and wave it like Joss Stone?

Lemme know!~

Picture me if you may, every bone in my miniscule body locked and knotted in a hundred different ways. If I should reckless try to move a muscle, it might very well rip from deep its epidermis. The feeling of exhaustion seeps beyond flesh and bone; that is exactly how Im feeling at the moment.

Just came back from Tess's bbq gathering, and the boyfren and I sure did enjoy ourselves thoroughly. Great food (tho the first 2 chicken wings I had were seeping some blood, major grossage factor) and great company we had for playing Tai Dee.
I CANNOT believe I lost all of the 7 rounds we played...THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE~~~

Im dead frustrated with stupid HTML formatting!!! God or anyone reading this, I hope you take pity on wretched ol' me and lend/donate/drop/throw/steal/ Dreamweaver (or issit Dreamriver?) program. Or Adobe Photoshop, illustrator would be FANTASTIC too. :P

AM dying to start on my new business project asap so...

Watch this space! hehe

My man and I are explorers of new territories and the location of the day was: Chinatown!!!

Glory to the ever popular tourist attraction/epitome of da local Chinese culture/lesser known shopping spots!

Sans uber-long train ride and damned procrastinations along the way, I'd say this was one of the really fun dates we'd been in a long time. We started from Lucky Chinatown all the way to Chinatown Point, and saw really nice stuff here and there.
Had tried the tom-yam seafood noodle at a nearby hawker center and taste buds had fortunately lived to tell the tale. Tasty!...but better to prepare a bucket of ice-water on standby. LOL!

Ended the day chilling out at Coffee Bean (which I just wanna say serves better coffee than Starbucks but strangely not as popular) and sharing insane conversations about teleporting our brains to another dimension and sling-shotting his 2-yr old nephew Ignatius into the air.

**Caffine SURE does weird things to one when over-used. So now you know//

I really abhor/hate/detest/dislike/(insert negative connotation) being sick.

Given its just the regular block nose, dry cough and dizzy spell but isn't it the little things in life that annoy you more than major ones? Anyway, enough about my ranting.

Trish, my friend from Perth just emailed me a joke which i found extremely meaningful. LOL!~

'A Spanish teacher was explaining to her class that in Spanish, unlike

English, nouns are designated as either masculine or feminine.

"House" for instance, is feminine: "la casa."

"Pencil," however, is masculine: "el lapiz."

A student asked, "What gender is 'computer'?"

Instead of giving the answer, the teacher split the class into two

groups, male and female, and asked them to decide for themselves

whether "computer" should be a masculine or a feminine noun.

Each group was asked to give four reasons for its recommendation.

The men's group decided that "computer" should definitely be of the

feminine gender ("la computadora"), because:

1. No one but their creator understands their internal logic;

2. The native language they use to communicate with other computers is

incomprehensible to everyone else;

3. Even the smallest mistakes are stored in long term memory for

possible later retrieval; and

4. As soon as you make a commitment to one, you find yourself spending

half your paycheck on accessories for it.

(THIS GETS BETTER!)

The women's group, however, concluded that computers should be Masculine "el computador"), because:

1. In order to do anything with them, you have to turn them on;

2. They have a lot of data but still can't think for themselves;

3. They are supposed to help you solve problems, but half the time

they ARE the problem; and

4. As soon as you commit to one, you realize that if you had waited a

little longer, you could have gotten a better model.

The women won.'

Yeah balls to the truth of sexist reality. :P

Damn tired but really emo-sated.

Scouting about the whole stretch of Haji Lane, Arab Street and Kampong glam had proven to be very tiring but exhilarating. Finally got to meet up with Mena today after god-knows how long exactly; and after a hearty lunch we felt a haircut (about time she dealt with her mop that she calls a hairdo) and Neoprint (i hate not understanding Jap gibberish instructional crap) was in order.

We stopped at this place called Quaint Secrets which had a helluva collection of beads. clasps, necklaces, etc. That was probably the very first store in my entire life that I entered bare-foot; as the sign outside said "to promote a cosy homey feel to the shop". Creative concept u gotta give it to them.
Mena and I both bought some chain and a locket for about 10 bucks in total. Reasonable and plus its white gold so it won't tarnish. Do visit there if you have the time.

Oh; we visited the No. 1 costume shop! I heard it was the largest and most extensive costume shop in S'pore. It was utter madness with the wigs department; I tried on this Marie Antoinette-sorta curly hair but guess what? The woman said I looked more like PHUA CHU KANG with my mole!?!

I resent that! I'm waaaaaaaaaaay better-looking than him ok.

My mole is sexier.

:P!

DAMMMMNNNNIIIITTTT.

This cannot be happening. I think im going into spasmodic shock.
I mean i know life isn't fair but this is gonna kill me...

SCI-FI, WHY THE HELL ARE YOU KILLING OFF STARGATE?! ARE YOU OUTTA YA FREAKING MIND!!!!!!

I beg your pardon. One certainly cannot be expected to remain coherent when one finds out that her favourite show of all time is getting axed by the overtly democratised US broadcasting station called Sci-fi.

No, im not a geek nor nerd so don't even start with me. Really.

Think ill just curl up and cry into my pillow for the moment.

While i'm waiting for my weekly dosage of Ugly Betty, I thought I'd do a quick entry.

Had the most amazing dream last night, but won't go into details because it sounds a little silly. But I woke with the most blissful sensation I have had in a very long time.

When I was heading to the kitchen just a few minutes ago, i caught sight of my mom. Now bear in mind that this is my MOTHER we are talking about, and most of you who are close to me may know full well that she is some what of an overbearing, fearsome, and XXXtremely loud person. AND that is only when she isn't in a foul mood.

So when I saw her hunching over 2 big pails full of laundry, my heart kinda sank. I dunno... maybe because of the huge contrast in her usual self? Or that she is still slogging away for her kids who have yet to open their eyes to the world and the current reality? Either way, I'm feeling tinges of sadness and guilt at the moment.

I truly wonder what the future holds for me, or rather both of us.
