i have way too much pictures and folders containing pictures that its only a matter of time this cheap piece of scrap metal that I call my lap top crashes and burn. But before that happens, I present you the latest orgy of photos. that, and i'm surprisingly inspired to blog more these days :)
28th-Nov-08: Third Year Anniversary!Wow. cue dropped jaw.
Its been three years already? Who'd ever knew we'd last that long, honey?
It was an understated and simple affair, and the boy certainly did outdo himself this time. We decided to have a weekend getaway at The Amara, followed by a whopping 7 course meal at Dozo: Fine Modern Japanesque Restaurant, for a fine dining experience that was all too new to me.

On our way to Amara

Bliss is being with you dear.

The Amara reception just oozes class

Ushering the Christmas mood already

Cabbing again to Dozo restaurant. Hungry? ;)

Japanese noodle sticks

The boy was taking a pic of me when the waiter popped in.
I think my face matched my dress...

But he was nice enough to help us take instead :)

Just look at the number of dishes on the menu!
i reckon we took about a good 20 minutes just deciding what to eat!

Compliments from Dozo: Mango Sorbet. Yum with a capital Y!

first course, the appetizer. It consisted of a blanched scallop, smoked salmon and foie gras. Believe it or not, it was my first time having foie gras. The outcome?
Erm, lets just say, i

Well, at least HE enjoyed it :)

Next was the cold dish. The boy had this raw beef-pastry concoction.
Strange as it sounds, it as Delish!

I adored the crab salad, it was fresh, light and oh so succinct!

Joy spreading all over my face :D

Feast your eyes enough yet? We aren't even half way through!
3rd course is the side dish; I had the soft-shell crab with vinegar whereas the boy, a unique fusion of Chawamushi and foie gras.

He sure knew how to choose his dishes alrite...2 foie gras in 1 sitting!

Soup of the day: A mushroom thick broth for him;

And a crab brisque for me! and yea i know... its a seafood theme for me that night.

At long last, the main dish.
Sake drenched unagi, sizzling slowly on piping hot stone..

And he had beef steak, layered with a single fan of fried Enoki mushrooms.

Salivating yet?

Sated, we turned to our drink and desserts.
Fruit tea adds a tang to the rich meal we just had,

There will ALWAYS be room for green tea ice-cream (with 2 sesame balls)

apparently, Justin agrees with me ;)
Vanilla ice-cream accompanied with a small choc cake

As if that WASN'T enough for us...we got a slice of cheesecake on the house as they delayed our bill due to a small mis-comm. How sweet is that?
Overall, it was a dream.
Food was to die for, and the service was simply impeccable. I wished we could have gotten a private room to complete the whole mood, but this was near perfection.
Thank you baby, for an unforgettable 3 yr anniversary.
I love you as much as I did 3 years ago, and I know things will only get better from here on.
