i have way too much pictures and folders containing pictures that its only a matter of time this cheap piece of scrap metal that I call my lap top crashes and burn. But before that happens, I present you the latest orgy of photos. that, and i'm surprisingly inspired to blog more these days :)
28th-Nov-08: Third Year Anniversary!
Wow. cue dropped jaw. Its been three years already? Who'd ever knew we'd last that long, honey?
It was an understated and simple affair, and the boy certainly did outdo himself this time. We decided to have a weekend getaway at The Amara, followed by a whopping 7 course meal at Dozo: Fine Modern Japanesque Restaurant, for a fine dining experience that was all too new to me.
On our way to Amara
Bliss is being with you dear.
The Amara reception just oozes class
Ushering the Christmas mood already
Cabbing again to Dozo restaurant. Hungry? ;)
Japanese noodle sticks
The boy was taking a pic of me when the waiter popped in. I think my face matched my dress...
But he was nice enough to help us take instead :)
Just look at the number of dishes on the menu! i reckon we took about a good 20 minutes just deciding what to eat!
Compliments from Dozo: Mango Sorbet. Yum with a capital Y!
first course, the appetizer. It consisted of a blanched scallop, smoked salmon and foie gras. Believe it or not, it was my first time having foie gras. The outcome?
Erm, lets just say, i
Well, at least HE enjoyed it :)
Next was the cold dish. The boy had this raw beef-pastry concoction. Strange as it sounds, it as Delish!
I adored the crab salad, it was fresh, light and oh so succinct!
Joy spreading all over my face :D
Feast your eyes enough yet? We aren't even half way through! 3rd course is the side dish; I had the soft-shell crab with vinegar whereas the boy, a unique fusion of Chawamushi and foie gras.
He sure knew how to choose his dishes alrite...2 foie gras in 1 sitting!
Soup of the day: A mushroom thick broth for him;
And a crab brisque for me! and yea i know... its a seafood theme for me that night.
At long last, the main dish. Sake drenched unagi, sizzling slowly on piping hot stone..
And he had beef steak, layered with a single fan of fried Enoki mushrooms.
Salivating yet?
Sated, we turned to our drink and desserts. Fruit tea adds a tang to the rich meal we just had,
There will ALWAYS be room for green tea ice-cream (with 2 sesame balls)
apparently, Justin agrees with me ;) Vanilla ice-cream accompanied with a small choc cake
As if that WASN'T enough for us...we got a slice of cheesecake on the house as they delayed our bill due to a small mis-comm. How sweet is that?
Overall, it was a dream. Food was to die for, and the service was simply impeccable. I wished we could have gotten a private room to complete the whole mood, but this was near perfection.
Thank you baby, for an unforgettable 3 yr anniversary. I love you as much as I did 3 years ago, and I know things will only get better from here on.

Are you prepped for the halloween mood yet?!
I always wondered how I would look like with a drastic hair change, and on a crazy whim... I bought an unbelievably platinum blonde wig from Toys R Us (yay for its range of affordable fake hair!) that Hugh Hefner himself would be proud if I was one of his play boy bunnies.
Sans the boobs of course.
Total Bimbo-fication.
Let the cam whoring begin~
"Like omg....like that is sooooo hoot. Wait I meant I am hot. No wait...who's' Hot'???"
Jan and I went to Toys R Us, otherwise known as the hugest playground known to the small folk-kind, for some 'research' for the witching season. Even at the ripe old age of 21, i never cease to amuse myself with the latest knick knacks and gizmos (which I have to say, during my younger self, playtime was well, never this fun!)
Meet my eeeevvil alternate ego... Igor, One-with-Bigger-eyeball. For lack of a better name,lol.
I call this Dr Frankenstein-meets-Cowboy-Joe during-pole-dancing lessons.
How cool is this. The slight red misty effect was totally not doctored...simply turned out like this when shot. Perhaps Countess Alien had something to do with it ;)
now now..on to less frightening exploits, something for the more pg-rated :)
Trick or treat everyone! ;)
PS: See you guys on Friday, H-Day! Herald the bewitching hour...

about almost 1 whole year ago (ZOMG, been that long already???), i did casting for the MTV PSA against human trafficking.
My lovely producer Aundrea, called me for the assignment and this till date, remains my most favorite and funnest job ever. I also wanna thank Vivian, my wonderful mentor, who also does the casting in Two Oceans Film, for her unwavering patience and kindness for a total greenhorn who prolly screwed up more than she help out. *sigh*
Despite the glam factor of it all, there was alot of HARD WORK, SWEAT AND TEARS during the production process. Deadlines. Crisis. Slogging through till 4am in the morning. Chasing after random people to come down for auditions.
But with the negative comes the positive. I loved every moment of it...from calling people for auditions, and the times i played 'director' during the auditions, rushing the talents (whom majority where friends I hold dear) from one location to another....and finally to see the fruits of my labor.
With that... i am so ecstatic to announce that...the videos has been released!
The concept was simple, yet effective. A first version showed only the wonderful things that traffickers project to entice unsuspecting people who had dreams of working and studying well to provide for themselves and family, a shot at better lives. Second version though, rips away the illusion of it all. It features the torment and endless cycle of pain and suffering the victims go through, in prostitution and forced labor in sweat shops.
Pictures speak a thousand words, but i have 4 videos..and i do hope it speaks most importantly, to your heart.
Prostitution ARC

Flea fly fo fum!
Its amazing how i manage to handle TWO flea markets while juggling my full-time job. I guess being broke really drives you to do things beyond your limits :) lol
Before I went for the Home flea, i tested the waters at the nearby Pasir Ris community centre. It was really a last min attempt as my dad signed me up behind my back!
At the crack of dawn (nah more like 10am), My dad, sis and I trooped down to our allocated slot at the PRCC. For a mere 10 bucks of a day's rental, we got a spacious tent, a table and two chairs. Wasting no time, we got to work...
My-really-no-frills stall
Everything must go!
Child labour? >_<
"lelong lelong!" Thanks for your help dad!
Handphone pouches, earrings...
My stash of impulse shopping goes on display
After a hard day's work....time to tuck in
Finger licking good nasi lemak...yum!
here is the stall on my left. A genial lady who attended to every customer with big smiles and patience even tho some were losers. there was this auntie who bargained like hell over a damn tupperware.
Geesh, talk about lack of social grace.
this was the stall on my left.I reckon she was the most aggressive seller amongst us 10 stalls, and i was initially pissed off cos she used up my space before I arrived. I guess she tot since I was late that I was not coming and so she can go ahead dominate more than her money's worth.
Guess what she was peddling?
lol Grandma undies @ 2 bucks each. LOL!
I loved this store the most. The vendor was a fashionista in her own league...vintage bags and apparel galore. and all were going at rock bottom prices cos she was trying to clear all before moving to her new place.
I really regretted I did not get her number for future buys...but i did score a sweet charcoal grey necklace a la Balenciaga and a black lace clutch for 7 bucks. <3>
Cute family of four who sold handmade badges with bendable appendages. The little girl was so adorable when she came up to me to show them off. lol :)
Close up
Half way through, there was a light shower. Then I realised why the hell was rental so cheap...cos the tents were kinda dripping on the sides! The nice auntie in the left actually used her tupperwares which was meant to sell to contain the rain. LOL
Overall, i manage to sell abit of stuff and while i did not profit much, it was fun and an innovative way to spend time with family on a lazy sunday morning. Thanks daddy for supporting my entrepenuer dreams and May for helping out at the stall. love!
~~~
whee! OK lest Janice kills me in my sleep or something, the grossly overdued Home club flea pics:
Our journey to Home club was not a smooth one. Lugging two heavy luggages and dashing through half-hearted rain certainly did pull our spirits down.
We even kinda got abit lost when locating our stall, and since we were late, we manage to get a pretty o-k slot.
Treasure trove for the hard pressed budget fashionistas...
Casual tees and tops for every occasion...
Jan is so capable man!
She made this earring stand herself!!
All must go! Everything at $1o!!
'Bottoms up!' Jean capris, coloured jeans...you name it I have it!
Here is to the start of a 'beautiful' (no pun intended) partnership!
Jan's friend (can't recall his name) drops by for a visit
Our neighbours at work
All smiles despite the hard work!Mom's the boss of the business (lady in white shirt), as I found out. It was her passion to run her own business on top of her own full time job.It was a fun affair, seeing how her kids, husband AND friends came down to support! :)
Yes...this is the stuff dreams are made off. Look at all the stash!
Special thanks to my sis, May... whom admidst her hectic schedule came down to help out.
Jan's trying out a new tactic. She will try to catch the eye of the guy of any couple who walks by...and when the girl friend turns angrily to face the rival...she will be distracted by our wonderful stuff and we shall have sooooooaring sales!
hahahah good strategy.
DAMN u shaky camera.
Love u baby. Thanks for also rushing from your flight just to help out, kisses!
Pointing to the direction of the bestest things! ;)
This was a natural overexposure which i saturated the effect and it turned out pretty cool..
With out the effects :)
Bored and going bonkers trying to fend off blood thirsty bargain hunters!
Poor girl...she's too stressed with the day's sales as well...
At least she not trying to turn it into a suicide tool like mine! >_<
nnnoooooooooooo~~~~~!!! Don't tear me away from my stash! all minnneeee~~~
Taaadaah!! *winks pretty lashes*
Shall kill you with my cuteness if you don't buy from me!
At around 9pm...most of the sellers were packing up and we took that as a cue for our exit as well. I'm pretty happy that I managed to get rid of a few dresses and acessories that I've had forever but never got around wearing them.
I can't really decribe it...but there is just something fun and satisfying when you really try to sell your wares to a customer, and the small joy when they buy it. Getting cash in real time is just somehow different than getting your pay credited into your bank acct directly.
Tired...but we were too pumped up to simply head home. We met up with the gang (Carl, Jia Han, Stuart, Germaine, Yong Kang, Chong Hui) for a movie, Meet Dave.
OMFG. How the hell are we gonna get the dead weight luggages up!!!!!!!!!!
